It’s no surprise that Coach Eujon S. Hughes is now a Certified Life Coach. Her path to this work is both a natural extension of her educational background and a profound calling from within. With years of experience in education, a Bachelor’s degree in Communications, a Master’s degree in Counseling, a Teacher’s Certification in Special Education, and hands-on experience as a counselor in Texas, Ms. Hughes realized that her passion and purpose extended beyond traditional counseling.

A graduate of the Udemy–Transformation Academy (Class of 2021) and an Accredited and Certified Life Coach, Ms. Hughes continues to expand her leadership and coaching expertise to better serve her clients and community. It was here that the seeds of her life coaching career were planted.

Driven by a desire to make a greater impact, Coach Hughes took her expertise a step further by becoming business certified with the State of Texas, City of Houston, and Port of Houston as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Minority-Owned Business Enterprise (MBE), Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE), and Historically Underutilized Business (HUB). These certifications open doors for contractual opportunities with independent school districts as well as state and local government entities.

Ms. Hughes continues to enhance her leadership and coaching capabilities, equipping herself with the tools to help clients achieve lasting transformation and success. At her core, she is motivated by a deep-rooted faith, an unwavering commitment to her community, and an abiding love for her daughter. These pillars inspire her to guide others on their personal journeys toward success. Through life coaching, Ms. Hughes empowers individuals to overcome obstacles, push past limitations, and pursue their greatest aspirations.

Ms. Hughes was recognized as a 2025 Woman of Excellence Honoree by Black Billows Magazine. She was also honored by her collegiate alma mater, Sam Houston State University Alumni Association and the College of Business Administration, as one of the Top 58 Bearkats Excelling in Business for 2025 during the university’s prestigious Annual Sam Houston 79 Awards Program.

Her life story is a testament to resilience and perseverance. As a survivor of domestic violence, Hurricane Katrina, and homelessness, she knows firsthand the power of strength, healing, and transformation. These experiences have shaped her understanding of what it takes to rebuild, recover, and rise stronger. Her personal history, combined with her professional expertise, positions her as an insightful and compassionate coach who truly understands the human experience.

Coach Hughes is the founder and CEO of Bridging the Gap Life Coaching and Transformation Academy, LLC, where she offers coaching services designed to unlock her clients’ full potential. Whether through one-on-one coaching, group workshops, or community initiatives, she is dedicated to fostering an environment of growth, empowerment, and positive change. As a six-time published author, she shares her wisdom and experiences with the world, further extending her influence and impact.

In addition to her coaching career, Coach Hughes is the owner of the Transformation Home Fragrance and Wellness Collection—an e-commerce business that brings wellness, serenity, and transformation into homes nationwide. She is a former Special Education Teacher and Certified School Counselor, with a career devoted to helping others navigate challenges and find success.

Her nonprofit organization, The Bridging for Change Foundation, Inc., launched on January 16, 2025, provides essential funding and support to survivors of domestic violence. With the support of her dynamic Board of Directors, the foundation helps survivors develop safety plans and empowers entrepreneurs to start businesses that can strengthen the local economy. Additionally, it offers scholarships for deserving HBCU students and provides resources for single mothers, helping them achieve stability and independence so they can create brighter futures for themselves and their children.

Her professional certifications, including her Accredited Life Coach status, reflect her commitment to excellence and her genuine desire to see others succeed. As a coach, Ms. Hughes believes that anything is possible when ambition is paired with hard work, faith, and determination.
